Answers to the questions members and gym staff ask most. If yours isn’t here, email [email protected] and we will help.
Joining your gym
Zend is free for members of gyms that use it. To get started:
- Download Zend from the App Store or Google Play and create an account with the email address your gym has for you.
- Your gym sends an invitation to that email address. Open Settings, then your profile, then Invitations, and accept it.
- Once you have accepted, your gym, your trainer and the plans they assign you appear in the app.
I can’t see my gym or my plan
- Check that you signed up with the same email address your gym invited. An invitation sent to a different address won’t reach your account.
- Open Invitations in your profile and accept any invitation that is waiting.
- If your subscription at the gym has ended, the gym can renew it from its dashboard.
- Workout, nutrition and supplement plans are written by your trainer. If one is missing, ask your trainer or your gym.
Signing in and passwords
- Forgot your password? Tap “Forgot Password?” on the sign-in screen and enter your email. We email you a code to set a new password.
- When you create an account, we email you a code to verify your address.
- No email after a few minutes? Check your spam or junk folder, and make sure the address is spelled correctly.
Apple Health and Health Connect
On iPhone, Zend can read heart rate, steps, distance, active energy and workouts from Apple Health. On Android, it can read steps, heart rate, active calories, distance and workouts from Health Connect. This data stays on your device.
If health data doesn’t show, allow access for Zend in the Health app on iPhone, or in Health Connect on Android. You can withdraw access there at any time.
Notifications and reminders
Zend notifies you about gym invitations, announcements from your gym and new plans from your trainer. If notifications don’t arrive, allow them for Zend in your phone’s settings.
Workout reminders are set in Settings and are scheduled on your phone.
Language and units
Zend is available in English and Arabic. To switch, open Settings and tap Change language.
To show weight and height in kilograms and centimetres or in pounds and inches, open Settings and tap Units of Measurements.
Deleting your account
Open Settings, then your profile, and tap Delete Account. Your account and everything stored about you are erased at once and can’t be recovered.
You can also email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to erase it; we do so within 30 days. The Privacy Policy at https://zendfit.com/privacy explains exactly what is erased.
For gym owners and trainers
- Sign in to the Zend dashboard at https://app.zendfit.com. If you forgot your password, use “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page.
- Staff accounts are created by the gym owner. Ask your gym owner if you need access or a different role.
